These photographs were taken last spring for a project that never quite wrapped up. At the time, I wasn’t very satisfied with my editing of the photos, I was pretty booked and, well, having not received a deadline, life just got in the way. Today I pulled these out for a little reworking and was happier with the results. Sometimes you just have to step back from the situation to rethink it. Lynn, thank you for modeling, and I’m so sorry for the delay.

Mount Nebo revisited

If any bride wants to run away for a small intimate ceremony, I will follow you to Mount Nebo.

I spent the vast majority of our 48 hours in the Ozarks, err, on the edge of the Ozarks, saying, “Ryan, Ryan! Wouldn’t this light look pretty.. and and here, we could have the couple here.. and and we could go along this spot during this time of day, then hit up that spot at that time of day.” I am of want for more geographical variance apparently.

I woke up January 1st around 8am and walked straight out of the cabin with my camera in tow. Most of these photos were taken within the next, oh, ten minutes. That’s as long as I could stand the 20 degree weather. What?! I’m a Louisiana girl.

I’m sorry, I can’t look at this photo without thinking, “Sorry, but a toll is a toll, and a roll is a roll, and if we don’t get no tolls, then we don’t eat no rolls.” Thank you, Mel Brooks.
