These photographs were taken last spring for a project that never quite wrapped up. At the time, I wasn’t very satisfied with my editing of the photos, I was pretty booked and, well, having not received a deadline, life just got in the way. Today I pulled these out for a little reworking and was happier with the results. Sometimes you just have to step back from the situation to rethink it. Lynn, thank you for modeling, and I’m so sorry for the delay.

Kristal and I have known each other since elementary school. It was a crazy day shooting her bridals, being back in Springhill, and seeing my hometown thru a new lens.. literally. I’m not sure how, but Kristal made it through the entire bridal shoot a la Anne in four inch platform heels. We kept saying “Kristal, are you feet hurting, do you need to take a break??” And she’d just shrug her shoulders and say, “Nah, I’m alright.” I guess that’s what you get from a super tough woman who trains hunting dogs for a living. I’ve always been amazed at the way this girl can balance her tomboyish attitude with such femininity. She’s the best!
